Lincoln City Libraries is in the process of implementing a new integrated library system (ILS). After reviewing our current ILS, Horizon, and looking at alternatives, Lincoln City Libraries has decided to adopt the open-source ILS, Koha. We have entered into a joint partnership association called Pioneer with libraries in Grand Island, Gretna, Holdrege, and St. Paul. The five Pioneer libraries plan to “go live” with Koha during the spring of 2011.
Lincoln City Libraries has appointed a group of library staff to ensure a smooth transition from Horizon to Koha. The Koha Implementation Team (KIT) will provide staff with updates throughout the process and is the source for any questions you may have. Contact them at KIT@lincolnlibraries.org.
